If you're looking for a new place to explore, or need a quiet "nature break" away from it all, check out the trails here at Petals in the Pines. Stop at our Farm Stand porch, register, and get a map hanging in the clear box on the wall. We have about 2 miles of varied-terrain trails and trails throughout our 7.5 acres. It takes from 30 minutes to over an hour to walk all of the trails, depending on whether you stop to marvel at the natural beauty you'll find along the way—we hope you will!
The Meditation Trail can be accessed from the bridge that crosses our stream, just below the old stone dam and seasonal waterfall. This trail is a bit more strenuous, but it's worth the effort as you journey to the top! You’ll climb back and forth across the steep hillside, all the while overlooking a woodland stream. And once you reach the top. . . you’ll discover the new “Love and Grace” labyrinth.
Admission for walking the trails or gardens, or visiting the labyrinths, is a free-will donation offering. Thank you for your support! For trail-walkers with kids who also play in the Pavilion and Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom, the admission is $5 per kid; adults and infants are free. You can leave your donation/admission at the Farm Stand porch (cash, check, credit card, venmo). Please let us know how many adults and children were in your group and record it in our notebook on the table in the Farm Stand. Hike at your own risk, and watch for slippery rocks! Sturdy shoes are recommended. The trails are not suitable for strollers; Please leave pets at home.
We occasionally schedule private parties here and the pavilion and play areas will not be available during these times. Please check our calendar before your visit to check availability of the pavilion. Thank you.
Climb the crazy tree if you can find it on the Old Dam trail.
